Casio DM-1200BM Business Desktop Calculator — 12-Digit Silver
Product description
This compact desktop unit is built for business use and ships as a single calculator ready for immediate use. It sports a wide 12-digit LCD intended for clear visibility from a short distance and an integrated angled kickstand that tilts the display for easier viewing.
Controls include dedicated Cost, Sell, and Margin buttons to compute markups quickly, along with tax add/subtract keys to simplify pricing and invoice work. The keypad uses sturdy, tactile plastic keys sized larger than typical pocket calculators to reduce input errors during extended use.
Power is provided by a dual-source arrangement: a solar cell for well-lit environments and an internal battery backup to maintain operation in low light. The housing is a hard plastic shell in a silver finish, designed to sit on a desk or counter for everyday accounting and retail tasks. This 12-digit Solar Plus model combines the Tax and Cost/Sell/Margin functions with an oversized display for efficient desktop calculation.
Pros
- Very large, easy-to-read 12-digit display
- Dedicated Cost/Sell/Margin and tax keys for business use
- Solar plus battery power with an angled kickstand
Cons
- Bulky footprint compared with pocket calculators

Solid adding-machine style unit
A very capable desktop adding calculator that excels at basic totals. The keys are firm and responsive and the slide switches for rounding and precision work smoothly. It focuses on financial tasks rather than scientific ones, offering options like full precision, cut, and 5/4 rounding with a selectable digit setting. Rounding takes effect on equals, so what you see after calculation reflects the chosen mode.

Dependable desktop brand
A top desktop calculator I’ve owned. The legends on the keys stay clear and the auto-shutoff is handy. Very satisfied with its durability.

Much larger than expected
This thing is massive. I assumed only the screen was 'extra-large' but the whole unit is. It performs well, just takes up more desk space than I anticipated.

Buttons and screen are excellent
The bigger casing gives roomier keys, which feel nicer to press. The display is the standout—very easy to read compared with a previous model I had. I’d recommend it.

Huge and readable
Oversized calculator with accurate results and large buttons. I ordered the wrong size originally but ended up keeping it because it’s so readable—bigger than my hand.
