Broadcom’s New Partner Strategy Drives Change — Node4 Boosts VMware Partner Support

In connection with Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware, the company is now carrying out major changes to its partner strategy. These changes affect several former white-label partners, forcing them to reassess their options and seek new paths forward. One company stepping in to help is Node4, a leading managed services provider, which has announced a range of initiatives designed to ease the transition.

Broadcom’s restructuring — what it means for partners

Under the new model, contracts for previous VMware white-label partners will end on 31 March 2027. Broadcom has chosen to retain only a small number of Pinnacle partners that have the capacity to deploy VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) at scale. Node4 is one of the providers that has qualified and will continue as a strategic partner.

Node4’s support and solutions for partners

To ensure continuity and reduce business risk for affected companies, Node4 is launching several initiatives:

  • Support through 2027
Node4 commits to maintaining all existing agreements until they expire. In addition, it will offer extra VCF capacity during this period, subject to minimum requirements being met.
  • Managed services after 2027
To provide long-term stability, Node4 will deliver VMware services under new frameworks—based on Node4-owned infrastructure and with full operational control.
  • Transition and migration assistance
Using modern tools and strategic partnerships, Node4 plans to support migrations to VCDA-based processes and multitenant VCF environments.
  • Flexible commercial models
As Broadcom phases out white-label arrangements, Node4 is developing new commercial models tailored to different partner needs, including options that simplify migration.

“A clear path forward”

Our aim is to provide a clear path forward: to deliver capacity within existing agreements, support migrations, and offer compatible managed services under Broadcom’s new framework, says Andrew Slater, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Node4.

Conclusion

Broadcom’s changes represent a significant shift for VMware partners, but Node4’s commitments around support, migration, and managed services create new opportunities for the market to continue growing and adapting to the revised partner strategy.
