Altair and NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint: A Groundbreaking Integration

Altair (Nasdaq: ALTR), a global leader in computational intelligence, today announced a technical integration between NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint for Real-Time Digital Twins and the Altair One® cloud innovation platform. The integration leverages GPU acceleration, NVIDIA NIM microservices, and Omniverse technologies to give customers an unmatched ability to visualize, build, edit, and interact with complex simulations and digital twins within a shared, turnkey environment. More broadly, it enables organizations to unlock the full potential of Altair’s solutions for simulation, artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and high-performance computing (HPC) to drive breakthrough innovation.

A step forward in digital transformation

“By integrating NVIDIA Blackwell acceleration, AI and Omniverse technologies into Altair One, Altair users can advance further in their development and digital transformation,” said Sam Mahalingam, Chief Technology Officer, Altair. “Combining Omniverse’s Blueprint for Real-Time Digital Twins with Altair One provides users with a powerful new way to operationalize and develop workflows that use real-time digital twins, data, and AI. It is another example of how Altair continues to lead in digital engineering and digital twin technologies.”

Enhanced collaboration and real-time simulation

By integrating NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint for Real-Time Digital Twins into Altair One, users can collaborate and run simulations together in a shared virtual environment in real time. The solution brings together 3D design, AI, and ray tracing to create immersive digital environments that act as an elevated digital workspace for professionals across industries.

Users benefit from advanced cloud rendering and streaming capabilities that simplify how software components interoperate across large systems—especially those used for AI, data processing, and graphics computation. This integration opens new paths for innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration in areas such as crash and drop-test simulation.

Digital twin technology reshapes industry

“Digital twin technology is reshaping industries by giving engineers and designers tools to perform real-time design, accelerate optimization, and much more,” said Timothy Costa, senior director for CAE and CUDA-X at NVIDIA. “Altair users can now take advantage of NVIDIA’s best-in-class technology to operationalize digital engineering and streamline digital workflows.”

Seamless access and efficient data management

Overall, the integration empowers users with turnkey access to Omniverse Blueprint with minimal effort. That means digital twins built with Omniverse Blueprint in Altair One can be deployed easily to any cloud or on-premises environment.

Altair One systematically catalogs data with rich metadata, enabling datasets to grow through multiple design iterations. This capability supports model development in tools like Altair® PhysicsAI™, which can reduce analysis time from hours or days down to seconds or minutes.

Altair’s continued investment in NVIDIA technology

In addition to the Omniverse integration, Altair continues to exploit NVIDIA technologies elsewhere to boost performance. For example, Altair® OptiStruct® now includes the cuDSS GPU-accelerated Direct Sparse Solver library to improve performance on CPU- and GPU-accelerated architectures, and Altair® EDEM™ is preparing support for the NVIDIA Grace architecture.

Altair also announced performance results on NVIDIA Blackwell for Altair® ultraFluidX®, Altair® nanoFluidX®, and EDEM, showing up to 1.6x improvement on the NVIDIA DGX B200. For EDEM, this equates to a 40x speedup compared with a 32-core CPU configuration.
