CGI Appoints Tim Hurlebaus as New CEO and Group President

CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) has announced a major leadership change: Tim Hurlebaus has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and will join the board of directors, effective immediately. He succeeds François Boulanger, who is retiring after nearly 40 years in the IT services industry, including 30 years at CGI.

For the past two years Tim Hurlebaus has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO), responsible for CGI’s operations in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia—markets that together represent almost half of the company’s annual revenue.

A long career at CGI

Tim Hurlebaus began his career at CGI as a developer and consultant and over decades has held senior roles within the company’s global operations.

He has overseen CGI’s business and growth strategies across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, serving both commercial and public-sector clients. Prior to becoming COO, he led several of CGI’s strategic business units in the U.S., the world’s largest market for technology services.

As a member of CGI’s executive team for more than a decade, Hurlebaus has played a central role in advancing the company’s growth strategy across consulting, systems integration, managed services and intellectual property.
