Tata Group, TCS and OpenAI Form Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Global AI Transformation

Tata Group, TCS and OpenAI have formed a strategic AI partnership to accelerate global AI transformation across industry and society.

The collaboration covers several priority areas: fostering innovation across Tata Group companies, jointly supporting businesses in their transition to AI, and building the technical infrastructure required for AI adoption in India.

Key points of the partnership:

  • AI tools for employees: Thousands of Tata Group employees will receive access to Enterprise ChatGPT, an enterprise-grade version of the AI service, aimed at boosting innovation and productivity. TCS will also apply OpenAI’s technology to streamline its own software development processes.
  • Industry-specific AI solutions: By combining OpenAI’s advanced models with TCS’s deep industry expertise, the partners will develop tailored AI solutions that address specific sector challenges.
  • Joint go-to-market initiatives: TCS and OpenAI will work together to help companies in India and globally adopt AI. TCS will assist clients in implementing and scaling OpenAI’s advanced AI platforms.
  • Building AI infrastructure in India: TCS and OpenAI have signed a multi-year agreement to build and scale large-scale AI infrastructure in India. This infrastructure is designed to support the most demanding AI systems and position India as a global hub for artificial intelligence.
  • Social initiatives in India: The OpenAI Foundation and TCS will collaborate to provide AI education and resources to young people in India, aiming to empower at least one million Indian youths with the skills to use AI responsibly and improve their livelihood opportunities.
