Positioning Ingram Micro in the Nordics for Future Growth

Ingram Micro continues to strengthen its position as the preferred IT partner and a leading force across the Nordics by advancing its company-wide transformation. The emphasis is on using resources more efficiently to boost execution capabilities throughout the region.

Clear objective

The strategic aim is to position the organization for organic growth by maximizing opportunities within its existing business areas while accelerating investments in emerging high-growth sectors such as Cloud, Cybersecurity, and AI.

At the heart of Ingram Micro’s business transformation is the ambition to offer a diversified portfolio of services and solutions, making the company more relevant and better aligned with the needs of customers, vendors, and stakeholders.

This strategic direction is taking shape through an expansion beyond the company’s established transaction-oriented business toward a broader and deeper presence in services and solutions. The goal is not only to meet current market needs but also to lead in future technology trends.

To drive this transformation, Jonas Elmgren, in addition to his role as Nordic VP, will assume responsibility as CEO for Sweden. This expanded role is part of a strategy to strengthen the company’s Swedish presence and improve responsiveness to changing market demands. Meanwhile, Christer Eklund, the current CEO in Sweden, will lead the newly created Cross Nordic Go-To-Market Strategy organization. In this capacity he will drive the expansion of Ingram Micro’s offerings into new areas and market segments across the Nordics.

To support and communicate these initiatives, Ingram Micro is also strengthening its communications and brand capabilities across the Nordics. A new commercial function will be established and led by Michael Gorringe to ensure a clear and consistent narrative aligned with the company strategy. As part of this effort, Mia Åslander will join Ingram Micro Sweden to lead Demand Generation and Marketing Services, helping to build stronger relationships with customers and stakeholders.

This comprehensive restructuring and expansion marks a new phase in Ingram Micro’s growth journey and reinforces its position as a leading player in the Nordic IT landscape. By combining strategic focus, leadership, and targeted investments in key areas, Ingram Micro solidifies its role as a trusted partner for businesses aiming to stay at the cutting edge of technological innovation.
