IGEL Appoints Johan Fredriksson as Head of Nordics

IGEL has appointed Johan Fredriksson as Head of the Nordics. Johan, who most recently worked at Confluent, assumes the role after predecessor Timo Siedenberg moves to the position of IGEL’s channel manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Johan Fredriksson: New Nordics Lead with Ambition for IGEL

Johan Fredriksson brings extensive leadership experience from the software industry to his new role as Head of the Nordics for IGEL. He joins from data streaming company Confluent and spent nearly seventeen years at Red Hat, where he helped grow a small team into an organization of several hundred employees.

  • “My ambition is to make the same journey with IGEL,” says Johan Fredriksson. “In the first phase we will strengthen our strategic sales team and then move to verticalize the organization. We want to get closer to our customers and partners. The channel is important to us.”

IGEL already serves customers across the Nordic region and plans to expand its customer base significantly with its IGEL OS offering.

  • “Our base today is in Sweden, but we aim to expand across the Nordics soon,” Johan explains. “We will operate pan-Nordic while also building resources in each Nordic country.”

Outside of work, Johan spends time with his family, often sailing or skiing together.
