NinjaOne Launches AI for Patch Sentiment and Names Joel Carusone SVP of Data & AI

NinjaOne, a leading IT platform for endpoint management, security and visibility, today announced NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment, a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature designed to make customers more efficient and resilient. The company also named Joel Carusone as Senior Vice President of Data and AI. Carusone will lead AI product development and drive innovation across NinjaOne’s data and AI initiatives.

Endpoint growth is accelerating, and these devices represent significant security risks. According to Enterprise Strategy Group, more than three-quarters of organizations have experienced a cyberattack that began with an unknown, unmanaged, or poorly managed endpoint being exploited.* Patch management—vital to strengthening an organization’s security posture—has historically been cumbersome, requiring IT teams to manually monitor, investigate and test available patches before deployment.

NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment reduces patch-related risk by applying generative AI to deliver comprehensive sentiment analysis for Windows KB updates. It streamlines the patch management workflow and enhances IT team productivity. Key benefits of the new capability include:

  • More informed decision-making – NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment delivers detailed insights and community feedback to help IT teams decide when to deploy or delay patches, reducing the chance of applying problematic updates that could disrupt operations.
  • Reduced patch-related risk – The feature identifies potentially risky patches, enabling IT teams to avoid security or compatibility issues before they impact the organization.
  • Improved efficiency – IT teams save time by quickly assessing the likely impact of fixes without manually researching or testing every update, freeing resources for other critical and strategic work.

“NinjaOne cut the time we spend on patching in half,” says John Jenkins, systems administrator and network analyst at Plexis LTD. “Patching is a critical part of our organization’s resilience, but it has often been complex and tedious. NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment simplifies how we prioritize the patches we deploy, making us both more secure and more productive. NinjaOne is an unmatched business enabler, and their team continues to listen to and act on our biggest challenges without putting our organization at risk.”

NinjaOne appoints Carusone as SVP for Data and AI

NinjaOne is doubling down on its commitment to customer success by hiring Carusone as SVP for Data and AI. A proven technical leader with a strong track record of innovation, Carusone will oversee research, development and the implementation of secure AI practices at NinjaOne, working closely with teams building AI-driven products. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer at Zeno Technologies, leading product innovation for the energy-focused software company. Earlier, he was CEO of Radius Intelligence, a business data platform acquired by the SoftBank-backed Kabbage, which later became part of American Express. Carusone holds degrees in biology and information science from Syracuse University.

“We are excited about AI’s possibilities and potential, but we are careful and deliberate about how and where we incorporate it into our products and into NinjaOne,” said Sal Sferlazza, CEO and co-founder of NinjaOne. “That means deeply understanding our customers’ greatest challenges, conducting continuous research, and running extensive beta testing. By welcoming Joel to our team and launching NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering innovations that drive customer success without introducing additional risk.”

“Working in IT has never been more challenging—or more important—which is why I’m thrilled to build products for this industry alongside the talented team at NinjaOne,” said Carusone. “We are actively advancing AI initiatives that will make our customers more productive and secure. NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment perfectly reflects our philosophy: AI should be purposeful, responsible, and focused on solving a real customer problem.”
