The appointment reinforces Veeam’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and strengthening leadership in sales, customer relationships, and growth strategy.
A testament to internal leadership and achievement
Having spent more than six years at Veeam, Veronica Oprea has built a strong career within the company, leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence from her base in Bucharest. She has held several key roles, including Head of Inside Sales EMEA South and Acting Inside Sales Leader EMEA, where she successfully delivered business results across multiple regions.

Experience at Oracle and a background in geographic information science
Before joining Veeam, Veronica worked at Oracle as Support Sales Manager for the Hospitality & Retail South Region. She distinguished herself in operational integration, change management and business development, establishing the foundation for her strong leadership profile.
Veronica holds a bachelor’s degree in geographic information science and cartography from the University of Bucharest, combining technical expertise with strategic thinking — a valuable mix in today’s data-driven business environment.
Focused on growth and collaboration across the EMEA region
In her new role, Oprea will shape Veeam’s Inside Sales strategy for EMEA, prioritizing pipeline acceleration, commercial growth and partner collaboration. She will work closely with regional sales and partner teams to strengthen customer relationships and deliver industry-leading solutions to businesses throughout the region.
