Nexer Acquires Qgroup to Drive Innovation and Growth

Nexer Group, a global technology consultancy, has acquired the Qgroup group — a fast-growing specialist company with revenue of around SEK 700 million and operations in multiple countries. Nexer is part of the Danir group, owned by the Dan Olofsson family.

The partnership brings together two dynamic organizations with a shared vision: to drive innovation and create value for clients, consultants and society.

“We are shaping a market approach where our sharp consultants, cutting-edge technology and societal benefit intersect. By combining Nexer’s global reach and broad service offering with Qgroup’s specialist capabilities and international presence, we open new opportunities to support our clients. Together we are building an exciting common future,” says Lars Kry, CEO, Nexer Group.

Synergy and strength — the best of both worlds
The combined offerings will be both scalable and tailored — available locally and globally. Significant potential exists through revenue synergies and complementary capabilities.

As part of the acquisition, one of Qgroup’s founders, Mikael Kretz, will join Nexer’s board, while the Qgroup brand will continue to operate.

Courage in uncertain times
At a time of uncertainty, Nexer and Qgroup are choosing to act. The acquisition demonstrates the strength of investing in the future and viewing change as a catalyst for innovation.

“Joining Nexer lets us accelerate growth while preserving our entrepreneurial spirit. We gain access to new resources and networks, yet remain the specialists and innovators our clients trust. Together we can deliver better solutions for clients and create broader development opportunities for our employees — both in Sweden and internationally. Qgroup will continue to operate under its own brand within the Nexer group,” says Jon Carvell, CEO, Qgroup.

“This is about creating long-term added value — for our clients, our employees and society. By combining entrepreneurship with a maintained decentralized model, while leveraging synergies, we strengthen our prospects going forward,” says Johan Glennmo, Chairman of Danir AB, the principal owner of Nexer.

The acquisition is subject to approvals, including from the Competition Authority. Both companies expect no complications in that process.

Together, Nexer and Qgroup will have combined annual revenues of about SEK 4 billion and operate in 19 countries with over 3,000 employees globally. The Qgroup brand will continue as a specialist and entrepreneurial hub within the Nexer group, now with access to Nexer’s global resources and network.
