Søren Gjevert Petersen has been appointed Head of Security Services at GlobalConnect, a newly created position responsible for the company’s security solutions for corporate customers.
Søren previously served as Head of Security for the company’s operations in Denmark and Germany and most recently held the position of Head of Security at IT firm Aeven. In his new role, he will have overall responsibility for consolidating and developing the group’s security solutions and advisory services, with the goal of strengthening protections for all 30,000 corporate customers.
“I have a solid understanding of what matters to security leaders at our customers because I have held that position myself. I bring that experience into my new role—both in advising customers and in ensuring that GlobalConnect’s portfolio of security solutions aligns with the actual threat landscape and the challenges organizations face. Many large organizations are currently working to ensure their IT infrastructure complies with the EU’s new NIS2 directive, and I have been deeply involved in that work before,” says Søren Gjevert Petersen.
Security is an integral part of GlobalConnect’s services—from network solutions to cloud offerings. In his role, Søren will be responsible for the security of the company’s products and for coordinating market-facing security solutions so that GlobalConnect can better meet customers’ combined needs.
With more than 20 years of experience in IT and security roles, Søren brings a strong professional background. Before his earlier tenure at GlobalConnect, he served as Head of Security within the Telia Group. Søren assumed his new position on November 1.
