Garmin today launches the quatix®8 — the ultimate marine smartwatch designed for life both on and off the water. With a newly integrated speaker and microphone, it’s easier to take command at the helm1 or answer calls2 while staying focused out on the water. The watch is available in two sizes — 47 mm and 51 mm — both featuring a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, scratch-resistant sapphire glass and a robust titanium case. New waterproof buttons and a sensor guard protect the watch from harsh marine conditions. With impressive battery life of up to 16 days for the 47 mm model and up to 29 days for the 51 mm model, it’s simple to extend your adventures.

“From open water to the office and everywhere in between, the quatix 8 is packed with premium features for those who live to be out on the water — all day, every day. Reliable marine tools give skippers full control and situational awareness while fishing, sailing and during all other activities at sea. Once ashore, users can take advantage of the watch’s advanced health and training features to monitor their wellness and stay active with the pursuits they enjoy.”

Durable design
Built to withstand the most demanding conditions without sacrificing style or sophistication. The quatix 8 meets U.S. military standards for thermal and shock resistance and includes a new ambient light sensor to ensure the screen remains easily readable even in bright sunlight. The integrated LED flashlight provides practical lighting on board or at home, with multiple brightness modes and a red safety light to help preserve night vision.
For those who venture below the surface, the quatix 8 is water-resistant to 40 meters and features new leak-resistant metal buttons plus a sensor guard that protects critical sensors during scuba and freediving activities.
Your companion on the water
With a built-in speaker, microphone and a wide range of dedicated marine features, the quatix 8 is the ultimate smartwatch for full control at the helm. Navigate the waters with confidence, add waypoints for fishing spots and control other functions on your Garmin plotter with wrist-based voice commands over Bluetooth®. Paired with a compatible smartphone, you can also make and receive calls directly from the watch and use your phone’s voice assistant to reply to text messages by voice.

With just a few button presses, your quatix 8 can act as a remote control for compatible trolling motors, Fusion® entertainment systems and more — while keeping you informed about depth, speed, heading and wind. Preloaded boat and sailing apps enhance awareness on the water with tide alerts and anchor alarms, tack assist, a racing start guide and a regatta timer.
The quatix 8 is available now and has a suggested retail price of approximately 12,649 SEK for the 47 mm model and 13,749 SEK for the 51 mm model. Learn more about all health, training, navigation and connectivity features in the quatix 8 on Garmin.se.
