Beyond helping people stay connected with family and friends during this crisis, Vodafone is contributing financially to humanitarian efforts supporting refugees.

“We will also donate, through the Vodafone Foundation, up to €500,000 from its Humanitarian Fund for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary to support refugees arriving from Ukraine,” said Essam.

“This will include a donation to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, with whom Vodafone has a long-standing partnership, to support their work on the ground.”

It is encouraging to see companies such as Vodafone UK take steps to alleviate hardship caused by this tragic and senseless conflict. The telecoms industry hopes other operators worldwide will adopt similar measures.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected in Ukraine.
