Vivicta has extended its role as strategic IT partner to Region Skåne for an additional three years. The renewed agreement covers deliveries worth approximately SEK 200 million per year and is a key part of the region’s long-term efforts to make healthcare more accessible, secure and efficient.
Vivicta, formerly part of Tietoevry Tech Services, is responsible for many of the technical services that form the backbone of Region Skåne’s digital ecosystem. The assignment includes IT infrastructure, operations, storage and applications, as well as electronic health record systems and patient data management. These services place strong demands on security, availability and regulatory compliance within healthcare.
Together with Region Skåne, Vivicta will continue to modernize the IT environment and build resilient technical platforms that enable new digital services, innovation and more efficient care processes.
Region Skåne faces complex challenges where digitalization is crucial. We are therefore very pleased to have the continued trust of one of our most important customers. Our task is to deliver stable and future-proof IT that helps the region reach its long-term goals, says Venke Bordal, CEO of Vivicta Sweden.

Digitalization of healthcare is a top priority for Region Skåne. The focus is on increasing access, streamlining workflows and providing better digital support for both healthcare professionals and residents. With Vivicta as a strategic partner, the region will benefit from investments in automation, AI and cloud solutions, with a particular emphasis on security and robustness tailored to the public sector and healthcare operations.
Region Skåne has a clear strategy for how digitalization should strengthen healthcare. Our collaboration is about building long-term sustainable and secure solutions that make a real difference for both operations and citizens. Being entrusted to continue in such a complex and socially important environment is a strong endorsement of our work, says Ulrika Bergman, Customer Executive at Vivicta.
The renewed assignment is also an important milestone for Vivicta and supports the company’s continued growth within the public sector. The collaboration with Region Skåne, which has already lasted many years, is being deepened and provides the region with stability and continuity during a time of rapid digital change.
