Smudyizi Mid-Century Upholstered Wooden Dining Chairs — Set of 2
Product description
Modern aesthetic with warm wood tones. These two dining chairs echo mid-century design with clean silhouettes and visible wood grain that pairs easily with many decor schemes. Each set includes two fully upholstered side chairs with wooden frames and legs; multiple upholstery colors are offered so they can coordinate with a variety of interiors.
Upholstery and cushioning. Seats are wrapped in breathable fabric over high-density foam to give a comfortable, slightly cushioned feel. The seating platform is an extra-wide, extra-deep 18.5" W × 18.5" D to allow a relaxed sitting posture. A soft padded back and gently contoured armrests provide everyday support and help promote better posture during meals.
Construction and limits. The frame and legs are crafted from solid wood with a walnut-toned finish (other finishes available) and include floor protectors. The legs are rated to support up to 300 pounds per chair, offering stable seating whether used at a dining table or in a casual seating area.
Where to use them. These chairs work well at a dining table, in a breakfast nook, alongside a desk or set in a small reading corner. Their compact footprint also makes them suitable for cafes or bistros and for adding occasional seating throughout the home.
Care and assembly. Chairs arrive unassembled and require hardware assembly; illustrations are provided in the manual. Regular spot cleaning of the fabric and wiping the wooden legs will keep the finish looking fresh. Replacement parts or customer support may be available from the seller if pieces are missing.
Pros
- Clean mid-century design that suits many interiors
- Breathable fabric over high-density foam for comfort
- Solid wooden legs with a 300 lb weight capacity
Cons
- Assembly can be fiddly and occasionally requires extra effort
- Backrest may feel low for taller users
- Some units have fit or finish issues out of the box
VerdictStylish and comfortable for everyday dining: attractive mid-century lines, breathable fabric and supportive foam create a cozy seat, while solid wooden legs provide a reliable 300 lb capacity. Assembly and fit can vary — some buyers report tricky steps or fit issues — but overall these chairs blend design and function well for casual dining or extra seating.

Decent but a bit pricey
A little expensive for the build. Assembly was okay; attaching the tops was a bit fiddly. They look nice, comfort is average — not meant for long sittings. Very cute overall.

Poor quality and painful assembly
Very poor quality and assembly. Took eight hours to put together with incorrect parts; I ended up drilling holes. They had an odor and were uncomfortable.

Quiet, elegant addition
Perfect fit for my mid-century condo — they look elegant and visitors always comment on them.

Comfortable, stylish, versatile
Attractive chair, assembly was straightforward though the manual is pictorial only. First box missed screws but seller sent parts quickly. Feels high-quality and comfortable; taller people might find them less accommodating. Works with many decor styles.

Promising but with flaws
Solid, modern look and generally comfortable. Assembly is doable but the cross beams take time. Oatmeal color is a nice neutral. Missing hardware for the floor protectors on one leg caused wobble, and I think they’re a touch overpriced.

Nice look, let down by function
I wanted to love them — the design and finish are lovely — but assembly was a struggle due to limited clearance under the seat. Once built they didn’t feel solid. The back is low and the cushion thin, so they felt cheaper than expected. Bought extra sets and returned them; good for looks only, not comfort.
