This strategic acquisition strengthens Proact’s position in hybrid cloud services and expands the company’s expertise in Microsoft Azure and Cloud Native technologies. BlakYaks – a strong player in Cloud Native services
BlakYaks is a privately owned UK consultancy with around 50 employees and headquarters in London. The firm has a solid presence in the financial and insurance sectors and specializes in delivering value-driven solutions for mid-sized and large enterprises. In the twelve months up to February 2025, BlakYaks reported revenue of £5.6 million and an EBITA of £1.5 million. Following the acquisition, BlakYaks will join Proact’s Business Unit UK, where its technical expertise and customer focus will remain intact and be supported by Proact’s broader resources and network.

Transaction details and outlook
The acquisition of BlakYaks includes a fixed purchase price of £16 million on a cash- and debt-free basis. In addition, a conditional earn-out of up to £11 million is payable based on the achievement of specified financial targets, with payments scheduled during 2025–2027.
