Exactly what I needed
I get bad anxiety living alone and wanted extra security. This was simple to use and has two hole choices on the metal plate so it fit my door after flipping the red handle. I pulled on the door hard while it was locked and it didn’t give. It’s a good supplemental barrier, not a sole defense.

Arrived damaged — needs replacement
Just received mine and the chain was detached from the wedge. Very frustrating—please contact me for a replacement. Checked packaging and it looks like this was missed during inspection.

Useful but not universal
I’m updating my rating: it works well in my new apartment and seems very sturdy, so I’d have to really damage the frame to defeat it. However, it failed to fit my old front door because the deadbolt protruded too far. Giving three stars because it won’t fit every door type.
