Picnic Basket Tote — 27L Collapsible Insulated Market & Travel Bag
Product description
Sturdy folding frame and compact storage – The basket uses a reinforced aluminum skeleton rather than wicker, so it won’t bend or sag over time. It collapses to about 2 inches thick: just fold the base inward and press flat to store in a car trunk, closet, or under a shelf.
Insulated interior keeps food at serving temperature – The lining combines EPE foam with an aluminum film layer to slow temperature transfer. Cold items with ice packs stay chilled for up to eight hours; hot sandwiches and grills retain warmth under the zippered lid. The interior surface is food-safe and smooth, so spills and crumbs wipe away with a damp cloth.
Roomy yet lightweight design – At 27 liters this tote swallows picnic blankets, multiple containers, drinks and condiments without weighing you down. Dual padded handles distribute weight comfortably, avoiding the single-handle digging that happens with some baskets. The low-profile frame also slips into trunks, bike baskets, or overhead storage.
Multiple uses and color options – Intended for picnics, farmers market shopping, camping, festivals and general home or car organization. The reinforced base supports everyday grocery loads (rated to about 22 lbs), offering a more durable alternative to thin plastic bags. Available in several colors to match personal taste.
Built for repeated use – Zippered top closure secures contents while transporting. Outside pockets add quick-access storage for utensils or small items. The materials and construction focus on reusability and easy cleaning for long-term convenience.
Pros
- Folds flat to 2" for compact storage
- Insulated lining keeps items cold or warm for hours
- Aluminum frame and reinforced base for durable support
Cons
- Zipper placement can make opening awkward with handles up
- Not wide enough for some 12" dinner plates
- Holds one temperature range at a time (hot or cold)
VerdictWell-built and versatile, this collapsible 27L picnic basket blends a lightweight aluminum frame with an insulated EPE/aluminum-film interior. It’s roomy enough for family picnics or market runs, holds up to everyday loads, and folds flat for compact storage. Handy handles and a reinforced base make it a practical replacement for disposable bags or brittle wicker baskets.

Cute, water-resistant cloth tote
Sturdy little basket and just as described. Planning to use it as a small dog seat in my kayak; fabric seems water resistant.

Compact, collapsible and practical
I keep this folded in my car for errands. It pops open easily, feels sturdy, and the handles are comfortable. Smaller than a store basket but ideal for quick trips. Very pleased.

Handy travel companion
Used on a vacation — fit a loaf, two deli containers, several bottles and condiments with room to spare. The zipper sits near the handles so it can be a little awkward to open unless you drop them.

Sturdy, folds flat
Collapses neatly and is solid enough for an actual picnic. Simple to operate and store. Keeps hot and cold foods at serving temp, but not both at once.

Roomy portable cooler
Big enough for a family’s food and holds the weight without issue. I pack freezer packs around the sides and everything stays chilled for hours. Collapses flat for storage.

Great for carrying food on stairs
Bought to move meals up and down stairs — insulated and roomy. Too narrow for a 12" plate but fits 9–10" plates fine. Exterior pockets and a good handle grip.
