Samsung Launches Galaxy S25 Edge: Features, Specs & Release Date

Galaxy S25 Edge is the latest addition to the Galaxy S lineup, combining powerful performance, a professional-grade camera and Galaxy AI — all in a slim package.

Today Samsung reveals the full specifications for the Galaxy S25 Edge. This model pairs high performance with a 200 MP main camera and intelligent Galaxy AI features, all housed in a titanium chassis measuring just 5.8 millimeters thick.

“Galaxy S25 Edge may be thin in profile, but it’s substantial in capability. It brings top-tier performance together with a professional 200-megapixel camera and a suite of Galaxy AI features. The new, slender and elegant design feels light in the hand while delivering the premium experience long associated with our S series,” says Anders Elmby, Head of Mobile for the Nordics at Samsung Electronics.

Elegant and durable design

Galaxy S25 Edge is one of Samsung’s most compact models to date and weighs only 163 grams. It blends a slim, refined aesthetic with strong durability. The robust titanium frame is engineered to withstand everyday wear and tear. The front display is also protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2, a second-generation ceramic glass that enhances resistance to impacts and scratches.

Top performance in a slim form

The 200-megapixel main camera captures sharp, highly detailed photos, including improved low-light performance thanks to upgraded Nightography. With larger effective pixel sizes, the sensor collects more light, increasing sensitivity in dark conditions by up to 40 percent. The 12 MP ultra-wide camera includes autofocus and is useful for close-ups or creative perspectives. The 12 MP front camera delivers clear selfies and high-quality video calls.

Galaxy S25 Edge features the ProVisual Engine, an AI-driven technology that improves texture rendering, skin tones and natural scenes for more lifelike colors. The display benefits from ProScaler, an image enhancement technology that sharpens lower-resolution photos and videos; upscaling quality has improved by up to 40 percent. Samsung’s Digital Natural Image Engine (mDNIe) also adjusts color and contrast automatically so on-screen content appears natural and comfortable to the eye.

With Galaxy AI tools like Audio Eraser, users can remove background noise from videos easily, while Drawing Assist helps refine lines and shapes in sketches or creative projects.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8® Elite for Galaxy, the same high-performance chip used across the Galaxy S25 series. Developed in collaboration with Qualcomm, it delivers fast, reliable performance and enables on-device AI processing. This allows the phone to handle advanced tasks — from image processing to voice interactions and intelligent apps — without sacrificing speed.

To maintain consistent temperatures during demanding use, Galaxy S25 Edge includes a new vapor chamber that is both thinner and wider than previous designs. This thermal solution helps keep the device cool during gaming, video editing and heavy multitasking.

Smart everyday features

Galaxy AI is integrated throughout the experience, offering personalized features that understand what you’re doing and the context around it. Functions range from helpful suggestions and text assistance to quick access to relevant information directly in the interface. Personal data is stored securely using Samsung Knox Vault.

AI features Now Brief and Now Bar have been expanded and now support third-party apps. They work seamlessly in the background to deliver timely updates — for example, traffic information before your commute or restaurant suggestions based on your past choices.

Thanks to Samsung’s deep integration with Google, Galaxy S25 Edge also gains access to Gemini’s latest capabilities. With Gemini Live you can share what’s on your screen or in your surroundings and interact with the AI in real time, enabling more natural and immediate assistance.

Availability and price

Galaxy S25 Edge will be available from selected retailers in Sweden starting May 30. It launches in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack and Titanium Icyblue. The suggested retail price is approximately 14,490 SEK for the 256 GB model and 16,490 SEK for the 512 GB model.
