Nexer Group strengthens its leadership team by appointing Mattias Liljenberg as its new CIO (Chief Information Officer), effective December 5. Mattias brings more than 20 years of IT experience and a broad background spanning both technology and business development.
Mattias Liljenberg has previously held senior roles at well-known companies such as Volvo Cars, MQ and CGI, where his responsibilities ranged from IT infrastructure and security to e‑commerce and large-scale transformation projects.
“I am drawn to Nexer’s forward momentum and strong culture. There is a clear drive and focus on results that suits me perfectly. IT is not a separate function but a central part of business success, and I look forward to continuing the digitalization journey with Nexer’s team to create long-term solutions,” says Mattias.
One of Mattias’s main responsibilities will be to lead Nexer’s strategic IT initiatives to build an efficient platform. He will also work closely with business units to increase customer value and promote tighter integration and consistency across Nexer’s various companies, supporting the overall goal of streamlining IT support across the group.
“We face an exciting development where AI and digitalization will play an even greater role in our operations. It is essential that our systems are prepared for the future and that we deliver value through efficient and user-friendly solutions,” Mattias adds.
With experience as a developer, project manager and team leader, Mattias has a deep understanding of IT and a strong focus on commercial impact. He describes himself as someone who gets things done and is driven by creating change and development. Outside of work, Mattias is active in sports and is highly committed to youth physical activity, serving as a coach and leader at Pixbo floorball club.
“We are very pleased to welcome Mattias to Nexer. His experience and dedication will be invaluable for our continued development and investment in digital solutions.
