Atlassian Adds Remix AI to Confluence for Auto Graphics, Infographics & Summaries

Atlassian Corporation has introduced new AI features in Confluence that transform content into charts, infographics, summaries and other visual outputs.

Atlassian Corporation, known for collaboration tools like Jira, Loom and Confluence, has launched new AI-driven capabilities within its knowledge management platform. The release is part of a broader strategy to embed AI directly into everyday workflows instead of offering it as a separate tool.

AI solves the “last mile” of knowledge management

The new feature, Remix, currently available in open beta, lets users convert Confluence pages into visual outputs such as charts, infographics and presentation-ready summaries.

Organizations often face the same challenge: knowledge is documented but does not always reach the right people in the right format. According to Atlassian, the problem is rarely a lack of data or access — it’s how information is presented and consumed.

With Remix, users can select content—paragraphs, tables or entire documents—and instantly generate visual representations without leaving the platform. The feature analyzes the content and automatically recommends the most appropriate format based on context and usage patterns.

From static documents to dynamic workspaces

A key advantage of Remix is that it is non-destructive. Instead of creating new files, visual layers are placed on top of the original content so organizations can preserve a single source of truth.

Visual elements update automatically when the source content changes, reducing the risk of outdated versions and duplicated information.

Everything happens inside Confluence, eliminating the need for external tools. This reduces context switching and enables teams to focus on analysis and decision-making rather than manual formatting.

Atlassian AI Remix in Confluence

From documents to prototypes and applications

In addition to Remix, Atlassian is introducing third-party agents built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), opening Confluence to a broader AI ecosystem.

The first agents include:

  • Lovable Agent – converts product specifications into UI prototypes
  • Replit Agent – turns technical documentation into ready-to-run applications
  • Gamma Agent – creates presentations from meeting notes and reports

These agents can be launched directly from Confluence and use the page’s content and metadata to produce outputs in external tools. All outputs are linked back to the original source, ensuring traceability and context.

According to Atlassian, a single Confluence page can now serve as the starting point for many types of output, from executive presentations to working prototypes and full applications.

A clear strategy: AI where the work already happens

The launch underscores Atlassian’s strategy to integrate AI directly into the tools organizations already use. Rather than building new platforms, the company is embedding intelligence into existing workflows.

This approach builds on earlier AI efforts across Jira and other parts of Atlassian’s ecosystem, with the aim of reducing friction and accelerating product development.

By combining Remix with MCP-based agents, Atlassian positions Confluence as more than a documentation tool — as an active platform for creation, analysis and innovation.

What this means for companies

This development demonstrates how AI is rapidly changing how organizations manage knowledge and collaborate.

For businesses, the benefits include:

  • Less manual work producing reports and presentations
  • Faster conversion from idea to prototype or decision
  • Stronger integration between tools and workflows
  • Better use of existing data and documentation

At the same time, the change reflects a broader trend in enterprise IT where AI becomes an integral part of the daily work environment rather than a separate layer.

Atlassian plans to expand Remix’s capabilities and increase the number of partner integrations, further strengthening the platform’s role in the modern digital workplace.
