8-inch Welding Pliers (2-Pack) — MIG/Narrow-Nose with Non-Slip Grip
Product description
Includes two 8-inch welding pliers designed for MIG torch maintenance and general wire work. Each tool is sized for easy handling while still providing useful leverage for typical welding chores.
Made from high-carbon steel for enhanced hardness and good resistance to deformation under normal use. The construction balances toughness with workability so the pliers can withstand repeated cutting and leverage tasks.
The jaws open up to a maximum of 44 mm (1.73 inches) to accept a variety of tips and nozzle diameters. Jaw geometry supports tip installation and removal, wire cutting, and spatter scraping on both the inside and outside of shrouds.
Handles are coated with an ergonomic, dotted texture to reduce slipping and minimize hand fatigue during extended use. The grip improves control when cutting wire, pulling liners, or hammering light surfaces.
These pliers are intended for welding, electrical, mechanical maintenance, workshop projects, and home repairs. Typical uses include removing/installing nozzles and tips, cutting and extracting wire, scraping weld spatter, and light hammering.
Pros
- Durable high-carbon steel construction
- Comfortable dotted non-slip handles
- Multi-use: cutting, nozzle work, and spatter removal
Cons
- Less versatile than larger fencing pliers
- Not ideal for heavy industrial use
- Some users report the steel feels softer than premium tool steels
VerdictThese 8-inch MIG pliers come as a two-piece set and deliver a reliable, budget-friendly tool for routine welding and maintenance tasks.
