31.5"/80cm Motorized Carbon-Fiber Camera Slider with App Control
Product description
This motorized camera slider measures 31.5 inches (80 cm) and is designed to automate linear camera movement for video and time-lapse work. The package includes the slider carriage, the motorized drive system, and a 4400mAh NP-F750 lithium-ion battery; a separate charger is not provided.
Construction uses carbon-fiber rails to keep the unit both rigid and lightweight for easy transport and outdoor use. The carriage runs on four roller bearings for enhanced balance and reduced shake. Bottom and side plates include 1/4" and 3/8" threaded mounting holes so the slider can be mounted on tripods, stands, or combined with other rigs.
The drive is a quiet stepper motor offering precise, repeatable motion. Power options include the supplied NP-F750 battery or external power via the Type-C 5V/2A input so you can connect a power bank for longer sessions. For best battery life, fully charge the NP-F750 before first use.
Control methods include wireless app control (download the Neewer app) and an optional 2.4GHz RT-08 remote (sold separately). The unit supports manual mode, video mode with adjustable speed and soft start/stop, and time-lapse mode. App and remote allow setting start/end points, frames or steps, video length, intervals and exposure/shutter settings depending on the interface.
The slider supports multiple shooting orientations: horizontal tracking, 45° tilt moves, and panoramic arrangements by adjusting the side knobs. Use opposite-angle leg settings for tracking passes, or offset them to capture up to 120° panoramas. Maximum load is approximately 11 lb (5 kg) when used flat, and around 5.5 lb (2.5 kg) when tilted at 45°.
Pros
- Lightweight yet rigid carbon-fiber construction
- Silent stepper motor with programmable motion modes
- Includes 4400mAh NP-F750 battery and Type-C power input
Cons
- Charger not included
- App interface can be clunky
- Some units may need belt/tension adjustment for precise timelapse
VerdictA capable motorized slider that delivers smooth, programmable motion and flexible mounting options thanks to carbon-fiber rails and multiple threaded holes. The silent stepper and included 4400mAh NP-F750 battery enable extended shoots, but the app could use refinement and some units may require belt/tension tweaking for precise time-lapse work.

Performs well but needs connection method
Great performance overall, but it requires Wi‑Fi or USB connectivity to function and does not include a control cable.

Makes B-roll simpler than a gimbal
After a short learning curve this slider sped up B-roll production and produced steady, repeatable moves compared with handheld gimbal setups.

Connectivity problems and opened box
Struggled to keep a reliable link between app and device; when connected it sometimes ignored commands. Item arrived as an open-box package with the return slip still inside, which was disappointing.

Good unit, takes practice
Solid performance but parallax and complex moves require practice. The app is simple and gets the job done.

Handy for our studio
Works great as a fourth camera in our podcast studio. Adds motion to otherwise static shots and is very useful for B-roll.

Not ideal for time-lapse without tuning
Customer service contacted me, diagnosed a defective unit, and offered a replacement outside the 30-day window — nice support. My original slider arrived with a loose belt that required manual tensioning; until I tightened it the carriage wouldn't start smoothly. The stepper also moves in noticeable increments (roughly 3–5mm), which can leave repeated frames during time-lapse sequences unless you crank up the output frame rate to hide the jitter.

Well built and smooth when set up
Feels sturdy and well made. Once the track is adjusted the dolly glides smoothly and elevates footage quality. The app could be improved, but the hardware is dependable.

Very pleased with value
Impressed with how well it performs for the price. The build is solid, motion is butter-smooth, and the app is easy to use. Great for practicing time-lapses and everyday video work.

Smooth cinematic motion for projects
Motorized movement gives consistent, cinematic passes for interviews, product work and time-lapse. App control lets you tweak speed, direction and endpoints. Carbon-fiber rails keep it light while the 31.5" length covers subtle and more dramatic moves; the built-in 4400mAh battery is a useful inclusion.

Failed within a day, replacement also problematic
My first slider died within a day. Return required me to supply my own box and drop it off, so I lost time and money. The seller later sent a replacement, but it jammed even worse. I tried to work with it, but both units had reliability issues; I opted to look elsewhere.

Excellent hardware, software needs work
Despite low app ratings, I managed to connect and operate it reliably. The UI is a bit rough and could use features like dual time-range sliders, but the build quality is impressive: solid rails, adjustable legs that lock well, easy belt tensioning, and a sturdy panning rod.
